| Super Moderator | Thanks Adrian. I was checking out all the different sections and was ready to post an Intro. Thanks for the info to get me here..... Well Hello all. My name is Mark. I ride a 2006 Ninja 650r. I haven't raced it, but may someday when time allows. At the moment I'm a fair weather rider. I don't ride because I have to, only when I want to. If it's too cold, I'll take the truck with a heater in it. Too hot, the trucks got a/c. I've had the bike for two years and still, everytime I ride it, I get excited as if it's my first time. I love this bike! I'm happily married with two awesome kids, ages 7 & 9. I like camping with the family in our 5th wheel and I love playing with my diesel truck. I own a Hydro Seeding business that I keep only because it shows a profit, not much else. ![]() Anyhow, That's me and I hope to learn more about the site and it's members, as time goes on. Nice to meet you all. Thanks for having me. -Mark (aka Nitelord) |

| Gixxer Girl | Thanks! I actually only have the 05 blue/black Gixxer at the moment. The others were sold/upgraded over the years. The Aprilia was pretty amazing but my ex-brother managed to total it last year... But that little Gixxer is my baby anyway, darn near indestructible and fun as hell... |

| Super Moderator | I had a 97 & a 99 gixxer. They were a blast. I bet the newer models are even quicker. The 97 was the first bike I ever owned that would power wheelie, even if you weren't trying. 9k rpm and the front end became light as a feather. Wow, what a fun bike that was... I only had the 99 for about 6 months and sold it for down money on a larger vehicle (family decided to grow).. |

| Gixxer Girl | I think I'll always own a gixxer - maybe just loyalty for for being my first but I just find them sooo comfortable and easy to handle. I can toss them around easier than most bikes. I'd love another Aprilia one day but that's not going to happen for a few years. I have a house and some other bills I want to get taken care of before the luxury of a 2nd bike again.... This dang responsibility thing that happens with age really kills the fun doesn't it...haha |
