Hayden Leaving Honda For Ducati

"It's time to try something different"

It looks like Nicky Hayden is being politically correct. The pneumatic valve Repsol RC apparently doesn't have what it takes to keep the rider, who is looking to try something different next season. Perhaps he would have been better served to switch tires first, his team mate Pedrosa dropped the Michelin Man flat on his butt, moving suddenly to Bridgestones.

It is difficult to say that it is a mistake, though... most likely Hayden will end up on a Ducati next year, which worked really well for Stoner the last couple of years, until crashing out of first place the last couple races put him a crippling distance away from Valentino Rossi.

Hayden appears to still be committed to Honda for the remainder of the season, finishing second this weekend at Indy.

All I have to say is - 'It's about freakin time'.....

<-----that's about all Honda will see of Hayden next year.....finally a bike he can ride that's not built for a midget. Now if Rossi's bike would just find some power somewhere both of them would be all set.

Well, it is official. Next year should hopefully shape up to be more interesting.. it has been a while since MotoGP was actually exciting to watch for the points. With Melandri and Hopkins together at Kawasaki, and Hayden and Stoner at Ducati it should be a good one.

Pretty sad that we are dicussing next year, when this year still isn't over, huh?

well it's obvious ducati has a competitive bike, it only makes sense for nickky to move if the honda isn't working for him. better than waiting forever to make a move like hopkins. i think next year will be a great year for motogp.
