So it only took me 3 years to finally get to this.....and I really can't take credit for it anyway. I have a really really awesome friend and I came home last night and found it in my garage like this....
We had started on it at his house this weekend and had it all ripped apart but while he was drilling out the holes for the bracket he had an 'incident' with the drill and his hand...and we had to stop. I figured we would just finish it up this weekend but he surprised me and had it sitting in the garage waiting on me last night.
I did it the very cheap way - bought a metal bracket at Home Depot for about 1.50, the turn signals were about $15 and the led lights to aluminate the plate were about $20 all from Cycle Gear. So for about $40 I have a nice pretty undertail and no more gigantic mud flap. The wiring wasn't too hard, just a matter of connecting the new stuff where the old stuff was. We actually pulled the entire tail off so I could remove the Scorpio alarm I had on it. Probably would have needed to anyway just to make it eaiser.
I still have to get it inspected and will either need to mount a small plate under the license plate for it or see if they will put it on the swing arm for me but she's all done and purty. Now I just have to get my new tires on and she'll be ready for riding....
