| Oh my lordy, you're joking?! Sounds like a 'typical' day around these here parts! I just know while at least MY folks were still alive, NO way would I of ever given them say a new PC with the hopes they'd contact me with it! It would of been IN the garbage within 24 hours! I seriously doubt things have improved since. Sigh..... ST seriously made it all look 'better' then it really was! Nuff' said. LRG Footnote: In any case, my brands of choice are currently H-D's and a Victory. As with most things, not cast in stone. By this time next year I may very well be walking (again), cane and all?! Nuff' said. ;-) Last edited by LowRiderGhost; 08-07-2008 at 12:05 PM. |

| Exactly. Seems I've owned at one time or another all the bikes up there except an Indian (came darn close!), never a Duke (would like a Guzzi someday) or a custom-build (been thinking about that forever!). Now if we did a 'Wish-List-MC' thread, I've been looking at the Hyosung GV650 Cruiser (no, not from China - South Korea) for a couple years. Might of shown up here by now except keep hoping for a bigger engine model and also the wife said, "NO more bikes until we move"! Supposedly there still are 8 working models still in existence in the H-D catacombs somewhere - world's rarest Harley? I'd say so - I want one! LRG |

| Spider Interwebby Thingy | I don't have any place in my life for rare. When the military moved us to Glendale we went from a 2 car garage (that was messy) to a 1 car garage (that is meticulous but tiny). My bikes and a trailer fit in there, but that is about it. If I owned a collecter's item bike, it would get hit by a skateboard or knocked over on the way to the deep freeze. Since the bikes I own now are just for riding at the track or daily drivers, that is the way I treat them. Come to think of it, that is the way I would treat a rare bike too. I wouldn't be able to stand not riding it, so I would pour on the miles and the rock chips and bug splatters and grime. Another good reason I can't own something expensive. ![]()

| Gixxer Girl | I can relate to that. Everyone was suprised that I was going to take the Aprilia to the track. I'm like why would I NOT take it there. That bike has all Ohlines suspension, Marchesini (sp) wheels and nothing but performance parts. It's meant for the track. Granted it also very expensive to fix when you crash but why have a bike like that if you aren't going to have fun with it. No bike of mine will ever just sit around and look pretty. |
